A HELPING HAND TO AGENDIZE FOR OSC RESPONSE APPROVAL
September 5, 2007
The voice of Neighborhood Councils must be heard. Your OSC Response makes known our recommendations for not accepting the DWP Proposed Rate Increases, requiring transparency in budget information, recommending independent auditing, recommending that rate payers’ funds remain for DWP’s deferred maintenance and reliability and maintaining a strong, streamlined workforce.
The steps below will facilitate your expression for participation in approving your OSC Response:
1. The authorized person must Agendize the Oversight Committee Response on/before September 21, 2007. Please contact OSC members referenced below.
2. The authorized person must ensure that the OSC Response attached is distributed to the NC members before the Board meets. Contact your Board Secretary.
3. The authorized person should be prepared to answer questions and move the motion.
4. Please complete Resolution Attachment upon approval. Forward the Resolution of Approval to Soledad Garcia and to DWP Greg Bartz by September 21st.
5. The OSC Rate analysis is included as page 3 and 4 of the Response.
6. Questions? Your Board Representative, Area Executive Board Member at Large or Soledad Garcia.
7. Contact your Council Person to support your OSC Response of not increasing base rates, surcharges, or pass throughs, (Read the OSC Response.)
8. Contact your NC members to participate on October 2, 2007, at the DWP Commission meeting and at the City Council Hearing on October 31st.
